Equality and Diversity

CPD Training (UK) Limited prides itself on providing innovative and challenging training solutions for many leading firms in the UK and abroad.  The Company is committed to the principles of equality and diversity and nowhere is this better illustrated than by the wide range of trainers which regularly contribute to the work of the Company.  The Trainers are from a range of ethnic and professional backgrounds and some have qualified overseas. The common theme amongst all of the Trainers is an advocacy and litigation background and a belief in the principles of justice and fairness.

The Company has a simple statement of equality and diversity principles which can be made available on request.  As stated elsewhere, the Company does not offer public courses.  Delegates are not able to book courses with the Company directly.  Courses are offered to firms on an in-house basis and most delegates will attend a course at their own place of work (although delegates from different firms may attend on occasions).  The Company will deal with firms via their Training Managers.

The Company commits to upholding and promoting each firm’s equal opportunities policy as appropriate.  The Company will request information from client firms about any special needs which a delegate may have and will make reasonable adjustments for them in the delivery of training and assessment in accordance with the Company’s policy.  The Company will liaise with each firm to ensure that the firm has made reasonable provision for its own delegate employees as to access to the training premises for those whose needs require such support.

Confidentiality

All personal information disclosed by delegates in any declarations, enrolment procedures and registration forms will be treated as confidential by the Company.

Information disclosed on applications to enrol on a course or for an assessment will become part of the electronic delegate record held by the Company.

Proper support for delegates, especially those with special needs; the maintenance of the Company’s Equality and Diversity policies or disclosure for the purposes of a disciplinary or criminal investigation may mean that in certain specified circumstances confidential information may be passed to other persons.

Individual marks in assessments will not be disclosed to a delegate’s employer. However, whether the delegate has passed or failed an assessment or has been requested to re-sit the assessment must of necessity be disclosed to the delegate’s employer. This will be done discreetly.

All Trainers and Assessors will be required to be familiar with, and apply, the Company’s confidentiality policy.
