Our Business Development Manager, Mr Stephen Dixon, has arranged for several groups of clients to work together on co-operative training ventures.
Sometimes a law firm does not have enough delegates to send on a course but there is always an option that they can join with other firms in the area to attend training. Such a consortium is a simple and cost-effective method of organising training.
CPD can take the hassle out of organising your training for you. We can book the venue, prepare the materials and accredit the course for CPD hours with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
If you want an in-house course which is tailored for your firm, we can help you there too. We provided structured litigation and dispute resolution training for a number of prestige firms and we can do the same for you.
We can also help you with an appraisal of your training needs: advising you of the best way to structure your training and at the same time saving you a lot of money. A lot of busy partners haven’t got a lot of time to spend on arranging training for the firm.
We would analyse your present training regime to see what you firm needs and then provide a written report at no cost to you.
A lot of firms waste money on training. They send their lawyers on expensive talk and chalk affairs in London where the delegates learn nothing and only remember if the speaker was boring or the coffee was cold. These programmes cost three times as much per head as CPD Training’s interactive and stimulating courses.
Even worse, some firms are buying on-line training because it’s cheaper. This sort of training is not training at all. It’s all about ticking boxes. It is not about thinking. Delegates hate it. They regard it as a chore and they soon become bored. See if you can remember the contents of any slide you saw when you watched a PowerPoint presentation. On-line training is a glorified PowerPoint presentation. Worse, no-one is checking to see if you are actually learning anything.
A good trainer needs to see the eyes of the class so he or she can tell whether they are learning. Our method of short presentations, group work, problem solving and feedback is tried and tested. It is also better value for money.
Take a moment to look at the range of courses we offer and see what our clients think of them. It will change how you feel about training.
